The fields of research for this laboratory are digital/analog integrated circuit (IC), clock generators, and low power / low voltage designs. This laboratory mainly trains students to understand techniques in IC design and engage in deeper familiarity and research with circuit design—thus, they will be capable of independent thinking and determinations when encountering problems in circuit design and of learning to evaluate circuit defects and improvement specs. Furthermore, this laboratory hopes to creatively design novely and creately frameworks to achieve optimized circuit operations. Simultaneously, students must be able to complete circuit designs, chip manufacturing, and chip measurement. Therefore, students will acquire basic and necessary skills in IC design fields. This laboratory also hopes that its students can become industrially and academically needed IC designers.
Current research topics include the following:
1.Clocking circuit designs and applications
2.built-in jitter measurement circuits
3.low power / low supply voltage for clock synchronization circuits and systems
